3-Hour Workshops

Anatomy 3D: Trains, Chains, and Pains: 3:00pm—6:00pm CST

The foot bone’s connected to the….shoulder bone? Understand how the body’s kinetic chains are interconnected, affecting movement patterns and training effectiveness across the body. This workshop will also address common dysfunctions and how to identify the root of pain as it relates to movement. Indoor Cycling Specialty Certification: 8:00am—3:00pm CST

NETA’s new indoor group cycling certificate covers all of the basics of teaching cycling classes including getting started, setting up the room, managing a variety of situations (dealing with new and experienced participants, late arrivals, broken equipment, etc.). Participants learn the many body positions for a safe and challenging ride, contraindications, terminology, class formatting, music selection, cuing and more. A special section has been added to determine exercise intensity.
Upon completion of the workshop and the online examination, you will earn the NETA Specialty Certificate as a Group Cycling instructor.

Personal Trainer Certification Review: Saturday 8:00am—5:00pm & Sunday 8:00am -4:00pm CST

Upgrade your personal trainer exam preparation with NETA’s comprehensive workshop experience! Beyond just self-study, our program offers a dynamic 2-Day Personal Trainer Certification Review Workshop led by seasoned NETA educators.

First, immerse yourself in NETA’s recommended study materials to build a strong foundation. Then, join us for two days of intensive learning, featuring 14 hours of interactive lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities. Led by our highly qualified national presenters, this workshop is designed to refine your exam preparations and enhance your skills.

During the workshop, you’ll delve into essential topics such as exercise science, communication skills, exercise programming, and health assessments. Through live demonstrations and practical applications, you’ll gain invaluable insights into one-on-one training techniques.

As the culmination of the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to sit for the NCCA-Accredited personal trainer certification exam, administered by an independent proctor on the final day.

To maximize your success, we recommend dedicating sufficient time and effort to self-directed study before attending the workshop or attempting the examination—typically around 30-45 days. Recommended study materials sold separately.

Senior Fitness Specialty: 8:00am—3:00pm CST

Meet the growing demand for fitness classes geared specifically for active older adults! NETA’s new Senior Fitness Specialty certification is designed for fitness professionals wanting tools to safely and effectively train and teach the older adult population.

In this foundational course, you’ll master exercise selection principles for chronic conditions, practice fall prevention techniques, learn functional fitness assessment protocols, and discuss ways to best communicate with senior class participants. This course will improve your professional adaptability and help unlock your career potential.

Upon completion of the workshop and the online examination, you will earn the NETA Specialty Certificate as a Senior Fitness instructor.

NETA’s Weight Management Specialty Certificate is designed to equip fitness professionals with the knowledge and competencies required to integrate safe and effective weight management strategies into their practice.
