Running Coach Specialty Certification
NETA’s Running Coach Specialty Certification provides the foundational knowledge and practical application skills for fitness professionals to develop programming and effectively coach clients seeking to improve their running performance. This workshop will explore the science behind running, identifying physical and physiological demands on, and benefits for, the body. Programming and drill work for both linear speed and endurance running will be explored, with tips on identifying and correcting form inefficiencies. Nutrition, hydration, footwear, and motivation will be discussed. Whether working with speed and power athletes, recreational runners new to the sport, or individuals seeking to push their endurance limits, NETA’s Running Coach Specialty Certification will equip you to provide individualized programming.
Upon completion of the workshop, and the online exam, participants will earn the specialty certificate of Running Coach.
