Positions Available: Personal Trainer

Personal Trainer Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Fitness Manager, the Personal Trainer is responsible for their clients’ physical assessments, exercise prescription, and motivation, as well as policy enforcement, record keeping, and delivering excellent customer service at all times to every member.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, athletic training, physical therapy, physical education or other related discipline OR specific certification in personal training required. NCCA-accredited certification in personal training; PTA Global, ACSM, NASM, NETA, or NSCA certifications preferred.

Minimum three-year’s experience as a personal and/or small group trainer delivering a weekly minimum of 20 hours of fee-based sessions in a community, corporate, commercial or clinical health/fitness facility preferred. Proven experience in client prospecting and client retention to maintain weekly minimum sessions; proficient in the administration of physical assessments, functional movement screens, exercise prescriptions and program development.

Positions Available: Group Exercise Instructor

Group Exercise Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Group Exercise Manager, the Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for instructing their assigned exercise classes, policy enforcement and delivering excellent customer service at all times.

Education and Experience: High school graduate or the equivalent. Group exercise format-specific certification preferred, including but not limited to: indoor cycle, aquatics, RYT200,  Zumba®, Zumba® Toning, Aqua Zumba®, group strength/barbell, Tabata Bootcamp™. General group exercise certification from an NCCA-accredited organization preferred, including but not limited to: American Council on Exercise (ACE), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Current CPR certification preferred. Minimum of one year’s experience teaching group exercise classes in a fitness facility.

1.) Implement Evidence-Based Health Promotion Activities including EnhanceFitness, SS Flex approved formats, Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance, Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, Living Well With Diabetes, and A Matter of Balance
A) Plan and coordinate with CommonBond Advantage Services management and site staff to roll out Evidence-Based Health Promotion programs at housing sites for seniors and people with disabilities and other barriers.
B) Coordinate the series of regularly scheduled sessions and plan to expand to additional sites.
C) Maintain accurate documentation on resident participation in these evidence-based wellness programs.
D) Attend trainings to become certified to teach these evidenced based older adult curriculums. Attend Refresh and Renew and other refresher trainings to maintain certification and teach a minimum of two classes per certification per year.
E) Work with residents in coordination with Advantage Services staff, to set goals, acknowledging residents’ needs, concerns and suggestions.

POSITION: Personal Trainer

Examples of Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ability to build clientele by administrating fitness assessments and safely conducting personal training sessions
  • Ensures accurate administration of client programs, including dotFIT programs, supplement purchases, measurement tracking and workout programs
  • Assists in all revenue generating activities, including but not limited to: complimentary workouts, supplement booths, body fat tables, seminars, and workshops
  • Ability to sell the value and importance of personal training sessions to our members
  • Responsible for achieving personal monthly revenue objectives set forth by the company
  • Organization skills and ability to maintain a neat presentation of the fitness floors at all times
  • Ability to adjust and operate all fitness equipment
  • Possess an enthusiastic, passionate, friendly and ambitious personality

Preferred Education/Certifications:

  • Current CPR
  • Current dotFIT certification (or must be willing to obtain)
  • Certification from organization recognized by Crunch (NETA,NASM, NSCA, ACSM, NCSF, ACE, AFAA, NESTA, TRX)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • A degree in a related field is preferred (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Physical Education, Nutrition, Fitness Specialist, etc.)
  • Personal Training experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting heavy weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting & prolonged standing and walking. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 45+ pounds


BzBodyFitness is located in Champions Hall event center in Eden Prairie. This studio offers Personal Training and Group Fitness classes for result seeking individuals.
