Making Fitness Instruction Work for Neurodivergent Participants
Feb 196:00 PM—7:00 PM
$29.00Fitness instructors often teach participants who differ in how they process directions, manage attention, respond to sensory input, or adapt when a plan changes. This session introduces practical ways to make group exercise instruction clearer and more flexible for neurodivergent participants, including people with ADHD and autism. Through fitness-based examples, attendees will practice giving concise cues, offering meaningful choices, preparing participants for transitions, and responding supportively when someone becomes overwhelmed. The session focuses on coaching practices within an instructor’s role and does not require participants to disclose a diagnosis.
